Phil Guana

Founder/Managing Parter

Phil Guana has been in the Food & Beverage industry for over 30 years. Starting as a young boy bussing tables at restaurants and working every job possible, then later working at fortune 100 companies as a Marketing executive, to eventually a successful entrepreneur as CEO of Living Fit Gourmet and restaurant owner. He later sold the businesses to start his own Wine & Spirits Distributorship in Arizona, Amante Divine Wine & Spirits for many years. After selling his company, he began working specifically as a beverage executive for one of the largest Anheuser Busch Distributors in the country, specializing in national retail placement of brands with On and Off Premise clients such as Budweiser, Sierra Nevada, Deschutes, Kona Brewing and Firestone to name a few. After leaving AB he worked with brands like Chimay Belgium Beer, KWV South African Wine Company, Hangar 24 and Sonoma Cider as Vice President of Sales and National Accounts. Therefore, he understands all aspects of the industry with his vast hands-on experience and knowledge.

In 2016 Phil founded Edge Beverage Consulting. He wanted to create a company that would help small and mid-sized brands get in front of the national retail chains. With Distributor consolidations happening across the country, more and more brands were being shut out of the opportunity. Now eight years later, Edge Beverage has grown into an international company with employees across the country growing our clients brands.

With experience in Wine, Cider, Beer and Liquor, Phil has been working with National Off Premise retailers such as Costco, Bevmo, Total Wine, Publix, Kroger banners, Target, Fresh Markets, Whole Foods, Food Lion, Earth Fare, Cost Plus World Market, Save Mart, Raleys, Wegman's, Shaw's, HEB and Spec's, to just name a few.

Through the years, he has assisted in the growth of numerous brands nationally and increased sales directly. He is a highly regarded and trusted professional of the beverage industry and is often invited to speak on retail sales and growth through National chains.

Phil enjoys traveling the world, meeting people, playing poker, World Cup Soccer and exploring new food spots. He's the father of three girls and when not working, they keep his hands full. He is bilingual in Spanish and knows just enough Italian to find the best restaurants and end up lost outside Milan drinking Barolo all night in a barn with Italian Wine & Chocolate makers (long story). Phil has a degree in Marketing and a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Global Business Management from Arizona State University ( Go Sun Devils!).
